Aim : Within a genetic association study, the genetic risk profile will be investigated in about 2’700 SIBDCS patients. By analyzing the presence of genetic polymorphisms in all of the 240 so far known IBD risk genes in the SIBDCS patient collective, we aim at identifying novel associations between genetic risk variations and IBD disease course, therapy response and the onset of complications in IBD patients.
