Our vision & focus topics

The IBDnet is a Swiss interest group of medical doctors and scientists specializing in inflammatory bowel disease. Our association was created in 2000 and has led to the foundation of the Swiss IBD Cohort in 2004.

The aims of our organisation are the following:

• Act as a communication platform for IBD specialised physicians and research fellows
• Plan, coordinate and publish scientific studies in the field of IBD
• Promote and organise continuous education in the field of IBD
• Act as partner for patient associations
• Act as partner for pharmaceutical and life-science companies
• Appear as partner for media requests
• Comment on clinical relevance of new therapeutic options
